The Elmdale Tavern (Ottawa, summer 2012)
The Elmdale Tavern, circa summer 2012. This was drawn around the time when the Elmdale was sold to The Whalesbone.

In Memory of Ian Noble
I was saddened to hear about the death of Ian Noble in January. Ian was head of the masters of typo/graphic design program I attended at the London College of Printing. Ian was also one of the main reasons I chose this program. When I first met Ian I told him about my interest in illustration and comix — and how some of my design professors during undergrad allowed me to produce comix for final projects. Upon hearing this, Ian promptly rolled up his sleeve to reveal a tattoo of Tintin running along his bicep. This moment alone was enough to convince me this was the right grad program for me.
Ian, you will be missed.

2012 Holiday Card - "23.5º"
This year's holiday card is a celebration of the astro-phsyics of the season. (Indeed, I shared it with the Bad Astronomer on G+ and he said it "looks about right" to him, which is good enough for me.)
As always, cards are available in the shop.

Fall 2012 Commission Timelines
Regarding Commissions from September 2012-December 2012
As it's now approaching the busy season for me, turnaround time for commissions has grown longer.
Any houses drawings needed for December 20 should be ordered by September 30th.
Other commissions will depend on complexity, but I anticipate at least six weeks turnaround.
Thanks for your understanding.

2011 Holiday Card
Here's my 2011 Holiday card design. I've done this one slightly differently this year, it's now a smaller format (4.25" x 5.5") and involves a "non-real" happening, wheras previous cards had focused on at least plausible scenes. The card (along with previous designs) is available in the shop.
